If Nepal stands as country of Mount Everest, Tibet the roof of the world, India a place of diversity of incredible ideas and Bhutan a 100 percent destination for cultural tourism; no doubt i will go to details why it is so. When Bhutan is in conversation among Nepali peoples ,it is known as a country of Royal who threw thousand of Nepali speaking peoples living in its southern Bhutan since 19th century in and around 1990's who eventually found a place to live in Nepal in some refugee camps . But some positive things like Nepal is aware of the fastest development that is in very few years in Bhutan , tourism operators are tempted with its tourism policy and it was my interest to know Bhutan what really it is, what really this tiny Kingdom is located between India and China like Nepal a land lock in its Geography, after my short journey of coming in tourism industry of Nepal first couple of years as a Chief Executive of the Village tourism promotion forum and later my own company Good Karma I had chance to go Bhutan to be part of Fame trip organized by one of the let's say world famous Blogger Imperator who have visited 90 country already in the world ,
Imperator landed in Kathmandu October 8 (at 8:00 AM people who would want to fly the expensive Qatar Airways and 13:05 PM people who would choose to fly low costs (Air Arabia). with his 27 fellow travelers, group first had to do the major tour of Nepal for a week that included Kathmandu , Nagarkot, Chitwan Pokhara. The group spent their time in color of Kathmandu. Oct being one of the best months in Nepal for travelling they spent visiting several interesting and fabulous sights and enjoyed momo and Dal Bhat. Time has already come to fly either Paro of Bhutan or Drive to Lhasa along the friendship highway via Kodari , everest Base Camp , Trip to Bhutan was accompanied my myself and Cezar who own a Imperator Travel Blog and Tibet was by famous Romanian Travel journalist Razvan Marc , i decided to choose Bhutan as Imperator one day in the history first i have meet and all this was going on with his effort. I was very happy to Travel with a blogger who had visited more than 80 countries. For me More important was to learn his Travel style, catch what he talks, see how he explores the places, develop more friendship with him etc. Whole group first visited Kathmandu and the attractions were like Swaayambunath (also know an money temple) , Patan ( the city of artists) , Nagarkot Bhaktapur , Pokhara (Paragliding is one of the major attraction in Pokhara), city tour around, ultra light flight , mountain flights etc. The group also did the Rafting in Trisuli River which was great fun, group had a nice time in Nepal and now group have three choices one back to home Romania after visiting highlights of Nepal, one was going to Tibet and one to Bhutan guided my myself and Cezar, we were 12 Pax for Bhutan, Bhutan tourism council have given some special invitation with a fame trip as it was time of Royal weeding in Bhutan and Yes we all were excited to land Bhutan,
Cultural tourism is the root of tourism which makes the tourism industry more strong and independent where not only money creates happiness. harmony and dignity stands as a vibrator of the society where tourism is a tool to change the society economically, a small tiny kingdom in south east Asia coming up and up by promoting its cultural tourism and inviting peoples all around the world by it's tempting culture art and styles, today Bhutan is able to claim itself as a fastest growing economy in world in its own ground reality nothing compare to any other modern world.
Bhutan disbelief it's per capital income in penny instead it is counting it in its own unique style that is gross National happiness an indicator that measures the quality of social changes and progress. Origin and meaning of the term "gross national happiness" was coined in 1972 by Bhutan's fourth Dragon King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, who has opened Bhutan to the age of modernization soon after the demise of his father, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.
Today Bhutan has become one of the inspiring destinations, even though there are 99 percent more tourism activities and things to do in Nepal. Because of different kind of tourism Bhutan is practicing today it has been an allegory for country like Nepal, India and its surrounding countries, i finally decided to fly Bhutan with Imperator much experience Travel blogger to know Bhutan , i imagined touching Bhutan with my physical body and heart and eyes and also nose as close as I can…Finally 17 Oct 2011 i started my journey to Bhutan with Imperator
2005 -1 February -King Gyanendra dissolve the government of Nepal led by Prime Minister Deuba. G Shah declares a state of emergency and holds direct power, meanwhile he becomes very attacking to Maoist who had already started their journey of revolution aiming at abolishing monarch from Nepal establishing Peoples republic around 1990's when i was very small and studying in lower secondary level in a country side of Annapurna . The political situation develops bad, Nepal the land of peace turns into a real battleground killing many innocent villagers in name of revel or supporter of Maoist by Nepal army (royal Nepal army of that time) and by Maoist rebels as defining royalist spy , vampire feudalist etc ,
When country was in the war, to enter Tribhuwan international airport was very hard for normal peoples. The security control was very tight, one have to carry the airport pass issued by the Airport authority. Many people seriously going to airport to welcome the foreigner were deprive of going in and coming out without the appropriate pass provided by the authority. Taking such golden gate pass was not a joke. pass were issued after only passing many criteria, there was no pass if the peoples was claimed as revel or its supporters in any form, many people faced problems in this emergency while going to airport and it was also quite normal to make strong rule in only single international airport when the highway were also block by government army and frequently checked in every few km. Passengers had to walk 1-2 km carry their bags. it was for the government army to prove that revel are not using highway as a transport, whereas revel use to walk in various shape and form. Revel always has their own highway which government army lacked to know. The attack and killing was very normal news in national papers and radio. Overall Nepal was in high crisis. I saw for the first time what the war is and how destructive it could be.
First time I was in Tribhuwan international airport with tourism entrepreneur Surya Prakash shrestha who was a President of Village tourism promotion forum. When i was Chief executive of the forum. Surya president of the forum introduce me with one of the senior government official GovindaRaj Raj Joshi as a vitof official and from that day I went to airport myself to issue the airport pass to the valuable members who own travel Trekking Travels hotels etc and were active member of the forum . During the emergency it was a serious topics to provide some one airport pass by a small organization. Surya P shrestha had to organize one big event in Hotel Vaishali , it was a seminar and welcome program for the assistant tourism minister of that time Yankila Sherpa . the program, participation and cocktail drink influenced her and she help our forum by keeping in system in airport to give our organization a golden gate pass and all our intention was to do this work from her help and help our members and grow up our organization..
In my work as an official in Village tourism forum i travelled many times airport. That time i had never travelled any foreign country and for me Nepal was a whole world. Interest of Travel to foreign land for work or tours study or vacation was not institute in my mind, i was satisfied by my own work in Nepal and i was in love with Nepal deeply, Kathmandu was a dream land for me as it is for many many Nepali peoples. I was happy to work in capital of Nepal , capital was a whole world for me ,
2006 November came as a month in Nepali history with hope to all peoples residing here, after facing a terrible war, killing bombs, blast. Peoples finally get rid of the bloody home war when Opposition Leader Prachanda Puspha Kamal dahal sign a peace accord declaring the end of 10 year revolution, Maoist also came to Internal government driven by Girija Prasad Koilara who played an important role to bring Maoist in to the peace and government . Maoist prepared for the Transitional government placing the weapons they have collected during 10 years of revolution under the Un Supervision.
Nepal from a war turn into a peaceful country and also many up and down in my life ,work , mind, came … I quit the job of forum as a CEO and came to my own business when knowing the tourism in 3 years full distant. I had already chance to work with various tourism personality, entrepreneur , hotels , trekking ,travels, tourism board of Nepal , so now I was able to do some things on my own , why not ?
dozens of walk to airport for my office work in 3 years distant working with village tourism forum airport was very familiar place for me and today Oct 17 with a famous blogger and his Travel fellow I am also heading to Paro valley of Bhutan with Druk air plane connecting Kathmandu- Paro in an hour flight . After finishing the immigration formality I started to tight my belt in the seat of plane and small druk air left the Kathmandu valley and turnd to Paro displaying the Mount Everest and many more higher Himalayas of 8000 m from its left side window. i started to love this journey of life time ... air hostess came to my seat with some snacks and drinks both made in Bhutan …

About Myself :
My name is Nabraj Ghimire but people call me Raj for short. I am a lifelong resident of Nepal and was born in an isolated village in the Annapurna region known as Simpani -9 Khudi Lamjung , famous as the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. I have always been interested in other cultures and countries this curiosity has led me away from my traditional family farm to Kathmandu where I can meet people from all over the world and learn about other cultures and beliefs. While in Kathmandu, I completed my Masters degree in Humanities and Social Science from Tribhuvan University to learn the history and future trends that shape societies worldwide. As travel has always been my passion, I started working with a local tourism company and was inspired to start my own to help other learn about the real Nepal while learning from the travelers about their home countries. Over the last 10 years, I have worked in the travel industry while specializing in Nepalese cultural retreats and traditional trekking routes. During my off time, I travel whenever I can and have explored over a dozen countries including the mystical kingdom of Bhutan, several countries in the Middle East, Great Britain and the relaxing Greek Isles. Reflecting on everything I have seen and learned, it is my mission to inform the world of all the trips, experiences and news I have gathered from my work and travels and would like to thank you for viewing my blog.
